Description
1958 TR3A that was last on the road in 1978. Long time owner garaged it and started restoration, then abandoned. I acquired this car from an estate in Virginia recently. The car is complete having a factory steel hardtop with no headliner but all factory hardtop hardware still in tact plus nice rear window. The frame is absolutely rust free as seen in the pictures. Both floors will need replaced, the drivers side is the worst. Surprisingly, the outer body is pretty good having rust in the bottom of the left front fender and the right side outer rocker. The inner rocker on the drivers side is solid and the car comes with 2 replacement outer rockers as seen in the trunk. The trunk floor is rust free as is the spare tire compartment and comes with an original spare, jack, ratchet and bag. All other fenders are rust free as well as the trunk lid. Doors, hood and trunk lid fit well as do the fenders. The hood is solid with surface rust from it being sanded years ago. The front apron is in good shape too. Windshield is good with no cracks/chips, the seats are really nice for a driver and have no rips or tears except for the bottom edges where they fold/meet the bottom of the frame. They are not attached but slides are present. Door cards are nice too. Dash is complete having all gauges in excellent original shape, same for the steering wheel and trafficator, both excellent and has the original keys. Convertible top frame mounted and works as it should. Car has a white tonneau cover and I'll look for a convertible top but not sure there is one. I've been soaking the cylinders for a few weeks and can't free the engine as it seems to be locked. I'll keep trying. The engine compartment is 100% original but will need the battery box bottom replaced. 4 speed, no overdrive. Car rolls and steers freely. I have a clear PA Title in my name ready to transfer. I try to describe all my items the best I can so there are no surprises. I am willing to assist in shipping as long as all arrangements are made well in advance. The car is known to be for sale locally and I will end the auction if sold. I can be reached at [hidden information] with any questions or additional pictures. There is a non refundable $500 deposit due upon completion of the auction. If you are looking for a unmolested TR3 for restoration, this is it. I'm sure you won't be disappointed so bid away. Reserve is low!On Jan-09-21 at 13:52:10 PST, seller added the following information:I just found the original engine crank and what I think are some sheet metal repair inner fender panels and the seat slides for the driver's side seat. I'll be listing a 66 TR4 project later today or tomorrow
