Great car to jump in and enjoy. Also great investment
Here up for sale is a 1959 Pontiac Catalina Convertible. This is a really clean car. Car has the original numbers matching 389 motor with the hydromatic transmission and runs great. Motor runs very smooth with no noises or leaking. This car hasn’t had many owners. Last owner did a lot of restoring to make it look like it does today. I was told it was originally a tri-power car that was changed many years ago. I did a lot of research and haven’t been able to find any details on how to prove the history or the way it was ordered. The body is very straight on the car. Not a lot of bodywork no sign of any panels being replaced. Everything is original. Paint shines beautiful. There are some small imperfections from being used and enjoyed. It’s not a 100 point show car. No bubbling anywhere. Chrome was all redone or replaced in the past few years. All still in great shape. Interior was redone and customized a little bit but no crazy modifications. All the interior electrical items work the way they should except for the original radio. All outside lights, heat, wipers etc...all work. The convertible top is in great shape and was replaced in the past few years. No rips or tears. Back window is clear. Goes up and down correctly. All glass is in good shape, with no cracks or damage. Original style white wall tires in great shape. Plenty of thread and life left. Car handles great. Hugs the road and floats like it should. Great Ride...... Gets crazy attention when out cruising. The suspension is also in good shape. Springs and shocks are all good. Brakes all working correctly. Everything was just gone over by my mechanic to make sure car is 100% roadworthy. We did everything needed. Just installed new wheel bearings in the rear end. Fluids all changed, full time up and all filters replaced. Ready for its next trip. The underside is all original. Does have a few spots but nothing major. The frame is all good. No rust and no repairs. The trunk is probably one thing that will need to be addressed at some point. It still has the original trunk and looks good from the top side. The only areas that have some rust are on the support braces of the trunk on the underside. Was going to redo but just don’t have time and will never get to it. I don’t use it as much anymore and would rather see someone else enjoy it. These Catalina’s are super hard to find and are bringing big money. I have the reserve set low for the current condition noting what the car needs. If you have any questions please ask. 347/386/4048 is the best way to get me. I will get pics of anything you need or want. Please don’t wait till the last couple days as I have the car in storage and will need time. Your more than welcome to come check the car out. Let me know what you need. Please do not bid on the car if your not a serious buyer. eBay cost a lot of money so let’s not waste each other’s time. I will be reaching out to bidders through email if I don’t get a response I will cancel bids and block from future bidding. Sorry if this hurts your feelings but some people think eBay is a game. Check my feedback as it shows I will make sure your questions are answered and your happy. Happy bidding.
