Rare LHD Two door wagon for sale. This is an eight cylinder 259 Studebaker engined wagon with a three speed manual transmission fitted with the factory over drive gearbox. It is in good mechanical condition. I have driven it on my country Victoria property and I have also road tested it. Currently there is an issue with the fuel pick-up, but I am able to run the vehicle with a gravity feed tank going to the (new) fuel pump. The heater has been by-passed as the heater control tap was leaking. Both are included with the vehicle.
These can be turned easily into a delivery van. This is a six seater with the rear seat folding to make a flat rear cargo area.
The tyres are very good with white-walls. I have three hubcaps for the wagon. For its age the body is in very good condition. The drivers side floor has had some patch work repair done. The rest of the wagon is in good shape.
The interior is down in condition as far as upholstery goes. The seat frames are solid and in good condition. Chrome ware is good although the front grill mesh will need some spit and polish. The doors open... and close... easily
The exhaust is a twin system in good condition. A four barrel Holley carb has been fitted to a Studebaker factory 4 barrel inlet manifold.
Please note that the speedometer pictured is in miles, not kilometres.
With a little money spent on the interior this wagon could be put on the road quite easily as some people like the 'rat' look of the older cars with patina.
For those who don't know, Studebakers were sold RHD in Australia and parts for these vehicles are still quite easy to come by, both in Australia and from the U.S.A. They are also an easy conversion to RHD.
These are neat looking vehicles and still turn heads today...especially the two door variant.
