Description
1965 Dodge Coronet 4 Door Sedan
In the last 3,000
miles this car has had it's original 273 Engine and 904 Torqueflite rebuilt,
this is not a rattle can rebuild, new hi-torque starter motor, new edelbrock
performer manifold and new street demon 625CFM 4 Barrel carby, new radiator,
new fuel tank, twin Magnaflow exhaust system. It's also had a new brake master
cylinder and all new wheel cylinders and brake shoes fitted more recently.
Brand new starter relay fitted also. Starts first turn of the key and runs
sweet with a lovely note off the exhaust.
Bench seats front and rear have been re-upholstered in recent time when
stateside, interior still needs carpets, headliner and door trims (original
door cards come with car, they've had a very basic black vinyl job done on
them). A brand new windshield and rubber has been purchased from Glass for
Classics at Nerang for $960 this can come with car if you are collecting
vehicle yourself or you can organise to have them ship it to your address
through their preferred carriers. All body moulds are in good condition and
included, along with front hood trim, original Coronet horn ring, badges, wiper
arms etc. The current steering wheel isn't great but appears identical as our
basic aussie valiant ones.
I'm limited on photos
in this ad, have made a video of extra photos along with walkaround of body and
engine and it driving, and a clip of further pictures of the car and
inspiration of what it could be, see links at the bottom. Some pictures where
automatically cropped due to landscape/portrait positioning so if you see
something you'd like the full uncropped version just send me a message and
descriptionand I'll send it on.
Has small amount of rust at base of rear wheel arches, needs front LH RH
floorpans. Other than that presents very straight, solid and honest. My
assumption is the person that did the mechanical restoration also prepped and
primed the exterior of the body then lost interest and sold it, the following
person did a cheap and cheerful closed door satin black paint job and drove it
for a short while before on selling it. It's been given a hand polish with some
SW1 spray. I have driven it on a 40min drive with trade plate and performed
without fault. Vehicle has its import approval.
I think it would look good done up as a period dragcar or 4 door gasser, have
supplied some pics for inspiration. New Mopar hood scoop available from
Brisbane supplier for $300 (Repliglass).
Rebuilt engine, gearbox, radiator and accessories worth close to asking price,
may suit if your looking to do a rebuild on yours and sell off the car as a
roller or use roller for a bigger MOPAR / HEMI engine. Car was originally
brought in for movie work as a taxi but never used, surprisingly good
opportunities for further movie work as an extra (as they can't be full of 2dr
muscle cars).
I'm sure there's more I've forgotten, please ask any questions. Vehicle is also
advertised on other forms of media and MAY sell sooner than the auctions end,
my phone number will be linked to those ads if you wish to call me. Inspections
or facetime viewings are possible with a bit of notice. Vehicle is located in
Logan Village QLD.
Please check out my
other Auctions as I will be listing more cars and items in the coming days.
