Description
All original body repainted many years ago. Looks great from 10 ft but signs of amateur prep work up close. Passes the weak magnet test all around the bottom, completely solid body, no filler packed anywhere. Some rust bubbles starting to appear under the paint in few small spots, and some typical rust holes in the trunk floor section over openings in the rear frame rails. Very easy minor repairs, no panel replacement needed, nothing even close.
The extremely rare factory sunroof needs a little help closing all the way when it's cold but still works fine and is very pleasant to drive with it fully open.
Recent service to brakes includingnew master cylinder,suspension, exhaust, fresh water pump, all fluids changed, complete tune-up. Runs, drives, turns, stops with no problems.
The only mechanical task remaining is a driver side exhaust manifold leak, it will need to be removed for service, already tried tightening. It's truly not terrible, don't hear it all the time, but it's audible especially when accelerating.
Cold AC, hot heat, all systems functioning great.
All power windows and seat adjustments working fine, as well as Sentinel Lights feature, power trunk release and pull-down.
Wipers work including washer pump
Original top-of-the-line optional AM/FM stereo radio is not working. An aftermarket cassette player is in the glove box, it works and there's a switch intending to power either that unit or the original radio, but the radio makes no sound when powered.
Most chrome large and small is very good to excellent. Both bumpers are beautiful (one ding in the rear), some pitting on a few smaller trim pieces, overall very nice.
Front and rear seats have been redone in a non-original pattern, but with durable materials, and in great condition. Original seats were tan colored leather.
There is some wear damage on the driver's door panel vinyl and a crack in the upper dash pad
The exterior vinyl top is superb with no bubbles, no damage, no wear visible.
Original, correct wheel covers in great shape are included. Wire wheel covers shown are later factory Cadillac parts and just look better in my humble opinion.
All original sales documentation is present including the actual window sticker. Owner's manual look absolutely new.
Lots of fun to drive and absolutely ready, willing, and able to go anywhere, this minute.
This is the last year for the Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Sedan. It stood as a separate model with its own longer wheel base, unique roof line and interior options compared to the similar DeVille models.
Lots of valuable hard-to-find parts and documentation are also available separately. Will work out a deal on any/all of these if the buyer is interested. Any parts left over will be sold only once the car is gone. They include:
