Relisting with better photos. Up for sale is my brothers babied 2007 Ford Mustang Convertible Roush Stage 3. He is moving soon and does not want to take the car with him so I am helping him sell it. 13k miles and always garaged. Has never seen rain. It has been extremely well taken care of as my brother is neurotic about his prized vehicle. Kept on a battery tender.Comes in white paint with blue stripes, black and blue leather interior, and highly optioned including carbon fiber trim set.For those of you who do not know the stage 3 convertible Roush was the highest package available from Roush at the time, even more optioned and pricer than the 427R’s that are more commonly floating around, plus this is a convertible which you rarely get an opportunity to purchase. This car makes use of the 4.6L V8 SOHC with a ROUSHcharger (supercharger) and air to water intercooler, free flow aluminum intake manifolds and air induction system, larger radiator, and a Roush tuned ECM. It has a performance exhaust that comes out to square tips and sounds really great (think retro mustang with a supercharger whine!) It is operated by a 5 speed manual transmission with an optional Roush billet short throw shifter that is crisp, responsive, and a joy to drive. The clutch is like new and very stiff. The suspension has also been lowered and tuned by Roush with front struts, rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear sway bars, and pinion snubber. It truly handles like a dream. With the added performance in the engine, stopping power was also increased. This Roush has 14 inch front rotors and 4 piston floating calipers with sticky performance tires to stop much quicker compared to the 11 inch 2 piston rotors on the GT.Cosmetically, it has an aggressive Roush 7 piece body kit (front fascia with an air damn and foglights, front spoiler, hood scoop, rocker panels, rear fascia, and rear spoiler), optioned with blue racing stripes. It has 18” 5 spoke chrome wheels from Roush’s performance wheel program with 275/40 tires. Roush badges all around, with stage 3 embroidery on the floors mats and seats, stage 3 white face gauge clusters (electro-luminescent), and Roush plaques. The Stage 3 comes with 415hp on 5 psi from the factory but is easily modified for more power if you’re into that.
Cons: 1. One of the rear roush wheels has a crack in it from a bad NY pot hole. The original wheel can be included in the sale if the next owner wants it, but it is unlikely to be fixable. Comes with spare on it unless a replacement wheel is sourced. 2. A common problematic area for these cars is the front lip spoiler. It is too low and gets scraped/banged up while driving, especially on NY roads. The lower lip has some damage from a not-so-steep driveway. Please see the photo.
Looking at what other vehicles of this kind are selling for, this should easily be a $30k+ car. All it needs is someone to source a replacement wheel, which requires a little bit of patience as they pop up every few months on here. Buy a 2nd set of wheels while you wait with the discount you'll get by Buying it Now!
