October 2006 build VZ Holden Adventra SX6 AWD All Wheel Drive (Constant 4X4 - 4WD) version of Commodore Station Wagon with 5 speed automatic transmission. 262,000km on odometer. Selling as is, where is. It is advertised elsewhere as well.
Traction control and hill descent assist. Trim and features a mix between Executive and Berlina levels. Bought unregistered in August 2020 for use as a work vehicle to upgrade to 4WD from my VZ Berlina Wagon but now is no longer required as my contract now specifies that I must use a van. Only driven once since purchase from previous owner in Seaford Vic to Wangaratta Vic with unregistered permit. It has not been registered or had RWC inspection since I have owned it. VIN 6G1ZM84786L[hidden information]
Spare is standard Adventra rim same as pictured on vehicle with original jack, wheelbrace and wheel chock all in excellent condition included in wheel well. User's handbook, radio manual and security code, engine service guide in glovebox.
Engine: Alloytec LY7 High output 190KW version. No oil leaks. Runs smoothly with no noises, cold or warm. This vehicle was built after the early alloytec timing chain stretch issue was resolved. Oil and coolant appear clean without any sign of contamination or additives. No smoke or unusual odours from exhaust, clean tailpipe. Recently serviced by last owner, not driven much since service. I have fitted brand new gas struts to bonnet.
Suspension and steering feel fine. Cold Aircon. All internal / external lighting, indicators, dash lights / gauges etc appear to work fine. Passenger rear electric window does not open - I have swapped switch from right door and that did not fix it so centre console switch, motor or wiring may be at fault. Left tail light assembly is cracked and would need to be replaced for roadworthy.
Drivetrain seems to have a bit of lash: perhaps uni's / CV joint(s)? A bit clunky taking off from standing start and at crawling speed but fine on the road and highway, apart from an occasional hard downshift under load, may be due to the auto transmission electronics trying to overcompensate. May need 1 or 2 tyres for RWC, the others have about 40% left in my estimation. Brakes work fine: pedal and handbrake firm. Towbar and 7-pin flat trailer socket concealed behind removable panel in rear bumper. Tongue and towball included.
Paint: GM Odyssey 276M. I'm quite impressed with the paint colour on this wagon. It generally looks blue-ish but it sometimes seems take on the color of its surrounds and doesn't show up the dirt too much. A couple of shallow dings and scuffs, particularly on the left hand side. Passenger side mirror assembly broken: it is taped up and usable but would need replacement for RWC. Windscreen / wipers good: no chips, cracks or sandblasting. Euro roof rack rails with 2 crossbars included. Tailgate glass opens independently of tailgate with 3rd button on remote - I have fitted brand new gas struts as it was not staying up.
Interior: Rear cargo blind, "O-track" fitted for load restraint / tie-downs. Driver's seat is worn near the door like most well-used cloth interior VT-VZ. Passenger front has one small ciggie burn on the base, not all that prominent. Seat covers would fix driver's seat for RWC, passenger's ok for RWC, but seat cover if you like for aesthetics. Roof lining intact, no signs of sagging. Door cards / carpet / seat belts / dash / all other interior trim in in good order, only front passenger door speaker grille is cracked at the bottom but not visible from above, only if you kneel down to inspect it.
I will be separately listing a TJM bullbar from a VX Berlina which should fit if you are interested.
It will be relisted if payment not received within 3 days of auction end or "Buy it now" selection. On 15-Jan-21 at 03:57:28 AEDST, seller added the following information:Key needs a new blade cut as the threads where the screws attach it to the fob are stripped out causing intermittent contact to the immobiliser circuit.
Battery bracket is missing.
An interested buyer who inspected the car said that it may have a small leak in the front diff seals.
