It’s important that you read through all the information and look through the images as I have tried to outline all faults and issues with this vehicle to the best of my ability
Up for grabs is this 3 Series BMW which needs a fair bit of love to bring it back to standard. The car has plenty of potential. For starters, it needs a good clean inside and out. I honestly don’t think this car has been properly cleaned in years. The body has a handful of dents, scratches and marks. Almost every panel has some kind of defect. Some are smaller than a $0.05 coin, some impact the entire panel.Mechanically it will need to be serviced and just needs some general TLC.As mentioned above,the bodywork has lots of imperfections. The worst is on the bonnet; there is a huge dent just above the passenger side grille, paint is cracked. The boot lid hasbig dent on it above the driver taillight. Front bumper also has a crack below the driver side fog light.There is a large scrape on the passenger guard and doors.Paint on bonnet and front guards is faded compared to the rest of the car.
The interior isn’t as bad as the exterior, it is still far from perfect. It too has been neglected it’s just not showing it as badly as the exterior. There is wear and tear in the common areas that you would expect for a car of this age and mileage. Everything is there, it just needs to be thoroughly cleaned and tidied up.
All electric windows, electrics functions on seats and sunroof etc all work flawlessly.There are no faults appearing on the dash other than low beam and indicator light bulbs needing replacement. The engine runs okay, lifters sound a bit noisy and the valve cover gasket would need to be replaced. Transmission shifts well. Mechanically the car is not in too bad of a shape and that’s mainly due to the N52 under the hood being relatively bulletproof when compared to the more common engine found in 320i e90 with the N54. So some basicmaintenance work and general servicing should suffice. The fuel gauge flickers at empty for a few seconds when the car is first started then functions normally and shows correct fuel level.All 4 tyres and have plenty of tread left on them. All 4 rotors are virtually new with no lip at all. Pads have plenty of meat left.
The car is being sold as is where is and is very far from being in showroom condition. The starting price of the auction reflects this. Inspections of the car are encouraged. I have tried to provide as much information as possible however I’m sure there’s going to be things that I have missed.
