Unfinished project, 1972 LJ 2 door S sedan modified to look like a GTR. I have had the car for about ten years having bought it with all panel work and paint done. It has sat in my shed all of this time, during which I have collected many parts and pieces to put it on the road. Unfortunately my interests have changed and I no longer have the time to complete this project. The Minister for War & Finance has advised me that the sale of this asset will possibly extend our relationship by several years and enhance the bank account of the local jeweller.
There are around 90% of the parts needed to put the car on the road, there are GTR seats (front in black, back in brown), GTR door trims (in brown), 2 GTR dashes, one complete the other missing the four smaller gauges, GTR steering wheel, centre console, complete front and rear suspension and driveline included, 202 engine, M20 4 speed gearbox & shift, tailshaft, 13 inch wheels to roll on, rear quarter glass, various tail lights, headlight surrounds, new rear window rubber, double diaphragm brake booster and lots of other bits and pieces. The car is currently sitting on a box trailer (so I can move it around the shed) but the trailer does not come with the sale. I have included a photo of the car as delivered to me ten years ago.
There is no rust, the boot floor and front and rear floor pans are original and rust free. I have sealed the floor pans with anti-rust paint, and cleaned and painted under the car to about the rear of the front seats. There is a small paint chip at the very front of the nearside front mudguard (oops my bad). The fuel tank is modified to look like an XU1 tank.
Genuine enquiries welcome, inspection also welcome to genuine buyers.
All three tags are on the vehicle, the number on the main tag on the drivers side above the firewall matches the body number on the nearside front inner skirt. The colour is Cyan Blue, original colour before being painted was white.
The vehicle can be moved if it is put onto another box type trailer or similar, I have moved the vehicle from my last home to this home on this trailer. It is a secure way of moving the car. It does come with wheels and all of the front and rear suspensions which are boxed up. The car has been garaged the entire time I have owned it, about ten years all up.
