Look at this one!!
Our 1999 Defender is now ready for sale. After a bit of love and affection, it looks a treat.
All the door frames were rusty(standard feature on defenders) when we got it. So we had new frames made for all doors and also the tail gate. There was a small bit on the upper firewall(also common), but this has been attended too also.
Whilst in the panel shop, why not put some lipstick on too. So we had the roof and bonnet painted satin black. This certainly makes it look a lot like the very latest Defenders. Especially with the black chequered plate sill covers that run the whole length of the car.
We hit the wheels with the same satin black theme and also blacked out the grille and front fascia. The front bar was re-done, as was the rear bar and rear ladder. And when you use that ladder, you will end up on the ARB roof rack. This too has been refurbished, to give it many years of extra use.
Underneath the car, we hit the visible components and chassis in some black, just to freshen it up.
Inside, you will see it presents pretty well. Not perfect, but a well keep car that is set to tour. And touring will be made easy with the full cargo barrier. All the seat present fine. Everything looks like it should.
Got kids? In the rear is a fully engineered support bar that has 3 child restraint points fitted. So no excuses for not getting the family out and seeing this big country we have.
Will be sold as is with no registration. A super reliable example of a cult classic car. It has done 286k’s and I would drive it around Australia tomorrow. It is super reliable and drives very very well.
