Up for sale my beloved 79 Series Motorhome. We have upgraded to a Winnebago recently as we have got another baby and things are getting a little tight.
It is designed to cross the country. This fully self-contained 4WD 4 berth Landcruiser is the perfect choice for small families, couples or a few mates who like to escape the city. There are only 5 of them in Australia. Manufactured for a private rental company in 2005. You probably won't come across another 4 berth Landcruiser. It offers 2 double beds, a fully equipped kitchen with 240V Air Con, 2-burner stove/grill, 90L fridge/freezer, sink, 90L water tank, sitting area for 4-6 adults, 500W solar panels, 4xUSB powerports, reversing camera, 5KW diesel heater, automated poptop with 4 flyscreens, 2 x fire and smoke alarms, fire extinguisher and blanket. The super cold fridge plus all other electronic devices are powered by a 150 Amp AGM battery which gets recharged by 500 watts solar panels and the engine, once it is running and above 13.1V ignition voltage. Freezer goes below -5 degrees easily. Both air cons are working. It has got an outdoor shower which is great to rinse yourself off. No hot water though. Anchor points for baby capsules on both rear seats. Diesel heater is one year old. Installed when we were camping in the snow at Thredbo. Like a dream folks!
As a mechanic I take great care of our assets. I have changed engine oil every 4000 kilometers (recommendes ever 6000) and even removed sump and various engine covers to remove sludge from the engine extending its life. I changed the engine oil every 3 times every 500k when we bought it. Timing belt, injectors, glow plugs, valve adjustment, entire front brakes, v-belts, fan clutch, clutch kit (gearbox), 4 x tyres and all fluids such as gear box, diff, transfer case, servo pump, coolant, brake and clutch was done August 2020. Entire rear diff housing (upgraded to strengthened 2012 76 series unit), rear discs, pads and handbrake kit, wheel bearings, axle seals, shackles, bushes, sway bar bushes, BOSS suspension air bags, engine oul, a new starter battery was done March this year. I have documented everything if you like to see photos or invoices. Pretty full on when I look at the invoives but I enjoyed every minute of it. Most of the work was not necessary but this is what happens when you start to look after something. Tow bar at the back. No rust on chassis or cabin at all. No stone chips on windows. We have refurbished the outside of the cabin and upgraded the decals to red and black strips. The blue yellow ones were perished. No turbo model. Still going at 100-110 km/h on motorways.
Any questions call me. Pick up at Brisbane or delivery. Just ask and we work something out.
