For sale, this unique run-around!
A 1998 VW Polo, with a quirk! Moquette seats, if you don't know what moquette is; it is the type of fabric used to cover bus and train seats the world over. Done as a mockery of some of the garish patterned seats produced by car manufacturers. This was a fun little project and has turned a fair few heads.
The moquettes used in the car are as follows:Stagecoach 'Blue Beachball'; found on buses throughout the UK. (drivers side blue)Sydney bus; found in Sydney (unsurprisingly). (the red)Bakerloo Line diamonds; found on the Bakerloo line on the London Underground up until a few years ago. (passenger blue)
Apart from having amazing seats, this car is a car! It works well, drives beautifully. Mechanically it is perfect. With many parts replaced in the last few months, that follow:Spark PlugsBrake pads and discsCentre ConsoleRear wheel bearingsTrack rod ends150% brighter headlight bulbsFresh oil. The tyres aren't old by any stretch
There is also a non-standard usb pioneer stereo.
MOT until Feb 2021. Tax is super cheap! As is insurance.Extensive service records present.
87,660 on the clock. Won't be anymore than 87,800 once sold.
I have some alloy wheels that can be thrown in for a good deal.
There is some lacquer peel to the car, as is common with red cars of this age. There is the odd scrape here and there, however it is to be expected with a car of this age.
Viewing is welcome in Gloucestershire or London - both with a couple of days notice.
It is a great run around and has some stick! It is just now surplus to requirement for me. I hope someone else can enjoy this beast!
Any q's - don't hesitate to ask.
Sold as seen.
